The 5 Shifts – Part 1 – Clarity

What are the five shifts you really need to MAKE,TAKE, CREATE and IMPLEMENT in your life and in your business to achieve what you want:

  • to go from where you are now to be exactly where you want to be.
  • to have what you want.
  • to be living the type of life you want.
  • earning the level of income you want.
  • attracting the types of clients you want

…and having the level of freedom that you want to be able to live out on a day to day basis.

If you’ve been following some of the content in the Process of Being Free” group then you’ll know that I’ve been sharing a lot of my story with you guys. I have multiple stories when it comes to being in a situation where I had nothing and having to grow back out of it. I’ve had a lot of success in my life but I’ve had way more failures. What I have learned along the way is a process that regardless of the failure, if I follow it, I can turn things around and end up creating exactly what I want to create.

These aren’t wishy-washy things guys. These are strategies. These are things that if you follow them and you commit and spend the time on them they will help you produce the outcomes and results that you want. The fact that most people don’t is because they don’t do this stuff on a consistent basis or they don’t give it the time. They assume that sometime is just going to happen or they procrastinate and think “I’ll do it later”, and we all know when later happens right.

So let’s get stuck right in! The 5 shifts are:

  • Clarity
  • Mindset
  • Connection
  • Growth
  • Investing In You

I’m going to break down this blog into 5 parts to give you a chance to work on each section as we go. Also, if you want to dive into this in a lot more detail go ahead and grab my book – The Process of Being Me right here.

So today we start at the top and that’s shift number 1:

Clarity

What I mean by clarity and why it’s such an important shift is because so many people want things, they wish for things, they hoped for things, but they never actually get 100% clear on: What those things are, but even more important than that – why they want them?

Ask yourself:

  • Why do you want X Y and Z?
  • Why do you want more time off?
  • Why do you want more income?
  • With that amount of income, why do you want more clients?
  • Why do you want to sell more of your product your program whatever it might be?
  • What is it going to create for you?
  • How is it going to make you feel?

These questions have to be where you guys start.

Again that comes back down to clarity. You have to be clear on your WHY to work out the who.

Once you’re clear on your why, your purpose and what’s going to drive you, you can then work back to:

  • Who do I need to be to achieve that.
  • What actions do I need to take on a consistent basis.
  • What is my languaging need to be.
  • How do I need to be representing myself and stepping up and approaching every day.
  • The level of conversations I’m having.
  • The type of marketing and content I’m putting out there.
  • Who is that person that has X Y and Z.
  • What do they look like and how are they different, or what are they doing differently to what you’re currently doing and who you currently are.

It’s not unrealistic and it’s not an “ideal”, it is for you and it’s why you need to spend the time getting the clarity around that. It’s really, really important.

The other thing I want you to do when it comes to clarity, especially when we’re focused right now on the gap between where you are now and where you want to be, is to measure yourself.

Measure yourself  in some way shape or form whether it’s your income or it’s the condition of your body shape, how lean or ripped you are, how great you feel, what your energy and fitness is like..etc Just find a way to measure yourself against what you want.

So if we’re looking at where you are as point A and where you want to be as point B, you need to ask yourself what does B look like for you, what is the end result, that intention, that goal look like?

Next up you get clear on where you are in relation to that – point A.

Now this is the point where you have to be honest with yourself, don’t go telling yourself fluffy stories like “it’s not too bad” and “it’s okay”, “I’m about medium or average” and “it’s all good” and “you know, I’m doing OK!”.  All of that shit is just stories, stories to keep you stuck where you are! If you want to create what you want and to do that to the best of your abilities you need to create new stories.

You have to start thinking about what are the stories and conversations that that person (at point B or the endpoint) has, that person who owns everything that they want to achieve, and who lives each day the way that you want to live each day.

Spend some real time on this guys as it’s part of the foundations of making the 5 shifts to success. Write everything down so you have something to check in with as you go through the process.

In the next blog post, we’ll be looking at the second shift, which is Mindset. I’ve invested a lot of time and money into this area, actually, the last mentor I had in this space cost me twenty-five thousand U.S. dollars! I invest a lot in it because I realized a long time ago that without this nothing else will ever matter or I will never be able to achieve the level of success and fulfilment that I want without focusing some time and energy and effort on mindset.

That’s what’s coming up in my next post, but if you’re already wanting to dive deeper into these 5 shifts and want to jump ahead you can grab my book – The Process of Being Me right here.

I talked a little about the content I share in my Facebook group earlier in this post so if you’re not in there already you can join here for free.

I look forward to connecting with you there.
